Myers has written this book for teenagers and young adults. Do the use of a handwriting font and the screenplay format help make this novel more accessible to the target audience than a traditional format might have? Explain.
I do and don't think that it does make it easier for the audience to get into the book. The way the novel is written, like a screenplay and such, makes it kind of hard to understand the way that the book is written. I don't like the idea of jumping back and forth from everyone's points of views. For me personally, its easier to get into a book with one point of a view in the traditional format.
The book is not really written as a novel. It is more like a play and I believe that it does not make any sense to have a book that looks like a play when reading it. I read the book at my own pace and it is quite hard to understand the format of Monster.
I think the book was sorta hard to follow at times and was a little on the sleep sleep side. Maybe if was written in a diffrent way i would have like the book more. I am not saying it was a bad book though I have read tons and tons of books and this was a fairly okay book. The way it was written though dosen't draw a good audience.
The book was a little entertaining because it shows how the world can be a scary place, especially prison. In this book, a sixteen year old is in prison for being a suspect for murder, but he is innocent. According to Monster, this young man has difficulties dealing with prison and he has fears of getting tortured or harrassed by other prisoners. At the end of the book when he is on trial, the jury finds the teenager not guilty and he was released from prison.
Every one in live is accused of somthing that they didnt do, because being in the wrong place wrong time or somthing being mistaken is life. Things happen but when they pass it always makes you strong, becasue obstcles are a part of everyday. This book should be read because it is captavating and intresting behond befiefe. The way its writign makes it unquie and creative and I have't read anything like it before.
